This is funny yet absurd

I am currently covering a class during my lunch period. I rushed up here. . . to find another teacher here. This is a math class that has an in-class support teacher (special ed). There are 2 teachers in here normally.
There was no need for them to have me here. The district is in a massive budget crisis yet they are paying me $45 for 40 minutes of literally doing nothing. I didn’t even have to take attendance and I don’t have to deal with bathroom passes. I mean I’m not complaining but this just seems nuts.

That is a waste of money if they didn't need another teacher at that time. Someone messed up?

No they didn't mess up. They do it all the time. I think they have to have 2 people in the room because there are special education students and their IEPs say in-class support teacher. That being said it was a Geometry class. I certainly wouldn't have been able to help them.

I hated geometry with a passion. I aced it but I still hate it. I can see why they have to have two teachers, with special ed students in there.

Geometry? I hated that class with a passion. I never "got it" even with special help.
If they need two teachers, then so be it. More $$ for you.
