The US Commerce Department has launched an anti-dumping review that could leave pasta lovers boiling. Officials allege Italian manufacturers are selling below market cost, threatening a massive 92% duty on top of existing 15% tariffs.
This potential 107% tax aims to aid American competitors but risks skyrocketing prices for the US—Italy’s largest export market. As Philly shop owner Sal Auriemma lamented, "Something's got to be sacred," yet even linguine faces the heat of trade policy.

I am not sure if it is true.
Yet I heard once that many Americans cannot tell about many big and important countries on a world map.
Plus many just think of their currency - US Dollars as the only currency in the world.
There would be knowledgeable and good people in US and I know that many have contributed immensely to this world(a big topic by itself) but the Government is working in a way which is not helping US.

Yes, some of us knew we would be very affected by the tariffs. But the MAGA people thought the opposite.

Italy can export more to India.
I am not sure if it makes much news but I see Pasta getting sold at economical roadside stalls to Mid range restaurants and fast food chains and even Elite fine dining restaurants.
Yet I was not aware that the tariffs on Pasta have been postponed.

After additional tariffs, Indian exporters have already started diversifying.
We recently concluded a FTA with UK.
Such agreements help.
Yes, short term pains are always there but it is not entirely bad as one starts looking at a broader market.

this is something people who don't live in America or are subject to its propaganda know. If America doesn't import, other places will. Americans suffer. Take coffee... not a problem. Don't buy from Brasil or from us, cool. We have other markets
