Where Have I Been Hiding?

I am quite behind here lately. Granted, many might be like, "Porwest who?" I will be doing some catching up. Maybe tomorrow. We'll see. Of course, as you all know, I have been playing around with AI a bit. It's got my creative juices flowing again, even. For example, I've started working on a new song to make a demo for that I might run through AI to see how it interprets it. In fact, that's my actual plan. That's part of the fun of just being a hobbyist musician. I also decided to start a new channel on YouTube to display some of the AI renditions of my songs. I got the channel all set up and even completed the first video, as well as a second one which I plan to release on Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll see. No rush when no one is watching yet. So, that's where I have been and what I have been doing. Well, among other things like dragging the camper back and forth from having it winterized and mulching the trillion leaves forming in my yard. Here's the video on the new channel I mentioned if you want to check it out. Not a crazy good song, but it's my lyrics and foundation, which, like I have said before, is how AI should be used, I think. Not just blind prompts that spit out something you didn't have a hand in creating at all—but actual covers of things you have already done on your own. Let me know what you think. ***Video is NOT monetized!!!***

I'm not even Porwest. I am a brilliant hacker who has stolen his account and will now steal his $5.

@Traceyjayne Now that you mention it, if I were a brilliant hacker wouldn't I go after a big bank or something? This would be like a counterfeiter printing up fake $1 bills. Hmm. lol

I THINK I remember you... I didn't realize you have an account on myLot, though. Sorry, not interested in music.

@porwest You made an inadvertent funny there! When I was working at Walmart, one supervisor kept calling me "Tom" even though my name tag clearly said "Robb". It became such a big joke that the HR department called me to their office and put the name "Tom" on the back of my regular name tag. When that supervisor was around, I'd flip my name tag over for her. One of the other supervisors got tired of hearing her page "Tom" to different parts of the store and confronted her about it. It was hilarious! I don't listen to music at all. I thought you knew that. Music sort of scrambles my brain and I don't think well when I hear it, so I try to avoid it as much as I can.

Yeah. I am bit elusive, I realize. On the other hand, I am quite familiar with who you are, Tom. As for music, are you not interested in music in general? Or just mine?

Thanks. Glad you had a chance to listen. I will definitely share more so long as I don't become monetized. I doubt I will, but one never knows.

I can't see the purpose, personally, of just letting AI do all the work for me. I much prefer this option, and am having fun playing around with it. And like I said, it's got me back "in the studio," so to speak, out of pure curiosity to see what it does with my own ideas.

I'm always curious about people who don't listen to music. It's fascinating to me. Do they ever have a random made up tune in their heads, if not, is it just words and phrases?

Music comes from a lot of places. Granted, it depends on if someone is a musician at heart. Sometimes it starts with a melody in your head. For me, I can translate that melody into notes played on my guitar. Sometimes there's a catchy line that enters your thoughts and you jot it down somewhere and one day revisit it and it turns into something. Either way, music sometimes just happens. It is always good when it all comes together. Although, many times it unfortunately doesn't. It's like when a band sits down to work on an album. They might write 50 songs. But only 10 or so make the cut.
