Firefighters in South Carolina rescue 1 person who was inside of a house fire

Firefighters with the Horry County Fire Rescue answered an emergency call on Friday November 21 when a fire began in the kitchen of a multi residential unit in Surfside Beach South Carolina.
One patent who was inside of the residential unit who was rescued by the firefighters who put out the fire quickly and prevented the fire from spreading past the kitchen was taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Two other patients who were inside of the residential unit managed to leave the unit under their own power safely.
The Myrtle Beach Fire Department assisted the Horry County Fire Rescue in putting out the fire.

That is true that smoke inhalation kills more people than fires themselves.

That was a relatively good outcome, as all three occupants were rescued, and the unit, was not too badly damaged due to the quick action of the firefighters.
