Did you have a Lite-Brite?

Or Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots? I didn't, I was already "too mature" for such childish things, but I knew of them. They were invented by Burt Meyer, who has now gone to that great playroom in the sky. He was 99.

I did have a Lite-Brite but didn't use it the right way. I just loved holding all the pegs - they were like jewels to me . I knew about the Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots (I seem to recall the commercials) but didn't have that.

I had a Lite Brite when I was three, and I loved it. How imaginative he must have been to create such toys. I hope his life was a good one.

I think it was, if he called himself the Toy King.

I never bought those because I was too "old", but I thought they were pretty.

We had Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots when I was a kid... We'd start playing with them and mom would come in, tell us to put them away and go outside to play.

@BarBaraPrz No. Only two of my brothers were violent and they fought each other. The rest of us rode bikes, rode horses, rode the cows, explored the woods or wandered all over the farm and surrounding countryside. As long as we were home in time for supper, mom didn't care what we did or where we went outside.

I hadn't actually heard of these but they could well have been on sale here.
