2 National Guardsmen were shot this afternoon near the White House

Like in sight of the White House. What a shame When it was initially reported on the news it was unclear if they were shot because they were trying to intervene in the suspect attacking someone else or if it was because they were members of the National Guard. It is now being reported that no one else (aside from the now-detained suspect) was injured so it appears to be a targeted attack on those National Guard members. If only they weren't unnecessarily there. . . gee I wonder which mental moron ordered that? I have absolutely NO CLUE how anyone could still support that criminal jackass. They never should have been there in the first place. Their injuries are on his hands. So much for loving the military. What an embarrassment. ETA: It was initially reported that they were shot but alive. Then it was reported that they were killed. Now it is being reported that they are alive but in critical condition. I have edited the post.
