Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 36 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is just 48. Ugh. I thought I was taking a nap early last evening but apparently I was just going to bed. So I woke up and looked at my watch to see what time it was. . . and I wasn't wearing my Apple Watch because I left it charging because I thought it was just going to be a nap. I got up, used the bathroom, and went to get the watch. I saw it was 5am so I decided to just stay up. Here I am. I learned that my mother and sister's family will be at the Thanksgiving dinner today. I thought they were going to be at a field hockey thing in Pennsylvania. I texted my second mom to tell her that I was flipping again and was just going to stay here. I don't do well on holidays these days anyway but I just can't handle a big crowd--family or not. I'm too old to get myself all tied up in knots trying to do what is expected of me. I deal with that enough at work. So I'll be hanging here with the cat crew which is what pretty much makes me the happiest anyway. I'll still make the Nutella star bread and I'll bring it to work next week. I also want to make a batch of coquito. I'll keep myself busy and won't be stressed out. The past 2 Thanksgivings I puked up my dinner. I will be glad to not have to deal with that again.
