Will it Click? Or I Guess the Better Question is Will They?

It's not my first rodeo, as they say, dabbling a bit with YouTube. All said, I have three channels. None of them are monetized, and so far, none of them are "successful." But I also can't say any of them were endeavors of seriousness.
In other words, one was just a place to share stuff. The other was an attempt to capitalize on and extend my audience from my blogs and other writing to a different format.
The latest attempt is to share AI music created from original songs I have written over the years, either full demos or what I call "false starts."
The main goal for me really is to simply share what I do and have fun with it. But the wonder is, will it click? I have heard so many success stories on YouTube that just sort of happened by accident. Being in the right place at the right time or picking a "topic" that just happens to be something that piques enough interest to get the wheels turning even when you're not necessarily trying to.
I think music can be something like that. Even if it's AI and not me performing, even though I essentially am writing the music and the lyrics.
What does it take? Perhaps just one song that clicks, and thus, they click. Or they add your song to a favorite playlist and spin it more than once, over and over again.
The bottom line is, my aim isn't necessarily to make money at it or even make it a business. But at the same time, I do acknowledge it could work.
Even if it doesn't, I know I will just have fun any way. And if I am to measure success anyway, I suppose it doesn't necessarily have to be measured in dollars and cents.
What say you?

Who knows what will strike interest in the consumer? You could hit it big one day. Good luck.

I've never created a page on YouTube, nor have any desire to. I barely ever even use YouTube. But you are right, you could just very well be in the right place at the right time and something of yours goes viral. I hope it happens for you, it would be a fun ride for you! But then again, you would create pressure on yourself to follow up your viral video with another viral-worthy video!

I don't know if "created" would even be the right word for me. I have "attempted." lol. None of it I really did with any sort of plan or seriousness. Granted, Synthetic Echoes is different and I do want it to succeed. Fingers crossed it happens. So far I have 3 subscribers. That's a far cry from what I need to even think about getting monetized. lol

@porwest As long as you are having fun with your "creations" and "attempts," keep it up and don't worry about making money or having something go viral. It's usually when you least expect something to happen that it happens.

The thing with AI, for me, is this; if it is used as an extension of human creativity, when it is used for art (such as music or writing) then I think it's great. If it is used as a replacement for human talent, that's an entirely different thing to me.
For the music, for example, I'm not just typing in a prompt and telling it to make something up for me. I'm uploading music I have already written, performed and recorded and letting AI interpret that into a full studio production with a "real" band and singer.
Having never been in a band, it lets me not only hear my music in ways I never would have thought possible but also lets me share it in a way I could not before as well.
I still have concerns about AI overall. But there are some things about it that I do think can be rather useful if it is used for the right reasons and with the right intentions.

Maybe you’ll get lucky and it will take off.

Good luck! You never know what topic will connect with people unless you try. Music directed to the right audience (not here so much) is something most enjoy listening to and commenting on.

I know what at your mean to some extent now and might understand even more a few years down the road. I've used the ai that was available before chat gpt to design journals of different types in Amazon and I realized recently that I could use the current ai to possibly help me flesh our characters etc in some of the stories I wrote years ago but never finished. Although for the later I think is want to find a publisher to do the formatting and editing rather than having to do all that myself.
Cool idea to use it for your music.
