A sweet gift from my friend

A coworker and I hated each other for years but now we are very good friends. We don't hang out as much as we used to because she has 4 sons and a serious boyfriend but we are always texting and chatting at work. Yesterday she texted to see if I was going to be here. Yes I was because I was waiting on the cleaning lady. She said she was going to stop by. I thought it was kind of odd but whatever. She eventually got here and gave me a small gift bag. Inside there was a gift card for the tanning salon that she goes to. She said it was enough for 2 months. I go to the place around the corner from work. I was kind of surprised that she went to this other place because she lives much closer to the one by work. It is farther away but not anything crazy. In any case I appreciated the gesture. She said she knew I wanted to get my tan back. It was sweet of her to think of me and hey free is free. There's no real reason why I hadn't gone back yet other than tanning is not something really on my mind when I'm on my prep at 8am. She also was happy to see my fluffy floofy Claire. She is the one who gave her to me as a kitten.
