It is 21F right now where I live. That is about -6 C, so it is a little chilly. Today we do not have the winds that were going up to 40 mph.yesterday. We keep our house at 67 F/21 C usually. Once in a while I will crank it up to 69 F. I wear layers of clothes and put on socks. Right now I also am under a heated throw. It is cheaper to heat ourselves individually than it is to heat the entire house. Bob spends a lot of time under a heated throw. We have a heated mattress pad on our bed, and flannel sheets. I know many of you are on the warm side of the planet right now. Bruno has just ventured out. Pedro is blocking my view of the computer screen. I do not like to be too cold, or too hot. I am taking it easy right now. I am wearing warm fuzzy socks and have a cup of instant beef broth to sip on. All is good.

If cold weather stays around too long without a break it sure is gloomy.

That is great, I guess. As long as a sudden cold snap does not come along and turn the sweat to icicles.

@GardenGerty We have a cold front coming this weekend, but it shouldn't be that bad.

I need a thermostat so the heat is a little wacky right now. It is up to 70 now, and it is set to turn off. It had better. This bill is gonna give me heart failure I am afraid.

I turned on the heat for a bit, but need it off before bedtime. Do you have an option for a "balanced bill"?

@GardenGerty I have no idea, really I need a new thermostat. I ordered one. Now, I have to get someone to install it. I wish I could wait on it, but I am afraid it is going to cost me too much money if I don't.

I hate having to wear later inside. Maybe because it was always cold growing up as mom and dad only had a wood stove for heat

We had a gas floor furnace, but I can remember ice forming on the insides of the windows.

We will be 30 tonight, if not cooler. In town has a prediction of 33 and we live outside on a mountain and usually much colder with the trees and area. These travel trailers are not made for the winter, though I have stayed in mine with snow and ice before. I hope the worst of the winter (usually Jan and Feb), we will be in the house.

I do hope you get into your house soon. I would think the wind around you would be miserable.

@GardenGerty They are out there doing the septic. It's raining again so hoping it doesn't do another delay. The contractor said the backfill behind the house may be delayed. If all goes well, they will work on the inside next week while raining but depends how this septic works. It's a fancy set up with a pump etc.

Fuzzy socks are just the best when it's so cold. It's around 36C here so summer has hit with a vengeance.

It is 33 degrees right now, and I don’t have the heater on. My dog is under a weighted blanket, but I will turn on the heater for about an hour before I go to bed tonight. The faucets will be dripping too, of course.

I am glad not to have to drip the faucets. The dog is smart.

It was -6°C when I got up about 8:00. Now it's 'only' -3°. I have the thermostat set at 64°F (can't seem to change it to Celsius or correct the time on it). I'm layered up, too, and wearing wool socks inside those fleecy slipper socks with the little anti-slip bumps on the soles...

It's not very cold outside here, it should be around 38 F now. I keep the house warm 22 C / 71.6 F. My husband always feels cold, he has a poor circulation.

Bob feels chilly a lot. He always says he has good circulation, but I know his heart does not pump hard enough.

@GardenGerty The hands of my husband are always as cold as two pieces of ice, same his feet. I know he has poor circulation.

We had about the same temps yesterday. We got snow on Friday. Terrible winds on Thursday. So our weather is about the same. However, I do not keep my apartment that cold.

We had bad winds before Thanksgiving. I was grateful when it stopped. What a great picture of you.

@GardenGerty I have a flag on my patio table in a plant pot and it was whipping on Wednesday. I was happy to see the winds die down. They were 50 mph. Thank you. I'm learning how to take a selfie.

I love the way you look at it anf say all is good. -6 Celcius is very very cold compared to our 15 C . Sometimes for a day it may drop to 10 or 9 but rarely. I can guess how difficult life is for you people there. I pray and hope the weather gets better for you.

Our weather is not this bad all the time, and if we can stay in it can be very pleasant to have nice food and good companionship.
