My Brain Is Broken

Happy Wednesday Everyone! after yesterdays snowy weather we have sunshine here today but it's downright cold. Probably too cold for it to melt the little bit of snow that we got. At least the roads are clear as well as all of our sidewalks and driveways. Right now I'm dealing with changing from one provider for the prescription part of my Medicare to another. I got notice that the plan I had was changing from one provider to another and would automatically switch over but the downside is the monthly payment would go up $40. That's a lot each month so I've been trying to find a different provider to cover that part of my Medicare. What a headache. Meanwhile I only have a few more days to figure this out. Thankfully I was able to refill my prescriptions yesterday (which are all covered) so I'm set for the next 3 months. These plans can drive you crazy between co-pays, deductibles, pharmacies that are in the network vs mail, and how much the prescriptions I take will cost. I had to have my daughter help as it was starting to break my brain. Aside from this BIG headache, everything else is good. I'll be very happy when this is resolved. How's your day going?

That reminds me I wanted to call about my plan too. running out of time to do that. Maybe later this afternoon. I hate stuff like this...no wonder I have been putting it off.

Medicare sounds so incredibly confusing. Hopefully, you are staying warm inside your house. I just have to get a prescription today after a telehealth appointment this afternoon. I just hope he doesn’t forget me. This doctor is not known for being on top of things.

After I got married to my husband in the USA, he added me to his medical insurance. Thankfully it got approved pretty fast, right before I got pregnant. I honestly had no idea how expensive medical treatment is here if you don’t have insurance. It was really shocking! I can imagine how stressful it is for you trying to pick the right Medicare plan, especially with all the copays, deductibles, and the price changes. It’s so confusing, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Good thing your daughter was able to help you out. I hope you find a good plan soon so you can finally take a breather. These insurance decisions can definitely drive anyone crazy!

I'm sorry Medicare is a pain in the patoot... That's one reason I don't want to start getting Social Security yet. I don't want to deal with Medicare. With Medicaid, I don't have to/get to pick between different providers and there is no co-pay. I did call Medicaid yesterday and they looked up who I had been getting my CPAP supplies from. Now I just need to call and find out why they stopped sending me new supplies every three months. The forecast is calling for more snow during the night. We're also supposed to reach 49F by late afternoon before dropping into the teens overnight.

I'm totally confused about medical insurance. I believe we're staying with our current provider. I wish I knew how much Medicare premiums were going to be. Higher for sure.
