Took out the garbage and recycles

Man it is crazy that it stresses me out now that I live here. At the house it was simple--open the back door and the robocans were right there. Here? Um I'm on the 3rd floor so I have to haul that stuff down 2 flights of stairs and out around the building to the dumpsters.
It is tempting to just load up the bags but then they (especially the garbage) get really heavy and difficult to get out there. The cleaning lady takes them out when she comes but this is not her week. I was afraid that the garbage was going to be super-heavy but it wasn't thank Darwin. I decided to just kill 2 birds with 1 stone and take them both out together. I'm impressed that I managed to do it without falling down the stairs.
I really just need to suck it up and take everything out like every other day. It will cost me more in buying garbage bags but it will reduce the stress that it causes.

Can you plan ahead and just take a bag outside when you leave for school or whatever? I try to plan my trips to my outside trash can in the winter, so that I am not opening doors more than I have to when it's bitter cold outside. I can't lift really heavy bags and walking on ice and snow, if we have it, is not a good plan, either.

I usually take 1 out in the morning on my way to work but after a couple of days it can get heavy. I need to just suck it up and take 1 out every day. The recycles I can probably get away with a few days. It doesn't bother me in the summer because the temperature is warm and I'm walking that way anyway to head to the pool.

I am very thankful for the trash cans with wheels the trash company provides, I cannot imagine having to carry the trash can to the curb on trash day. Of course, now we are all used to having those, but for years it was the older metal cans with the metal lid that always flew off and became a lethal frisbee, so I do appreciate the wheeled ones.

There have been a couple times where my best friend took my trash down because I couldn’t get it down the stairs without doing something embarrassing. I’ve fallen down those dad blasted stairs before. You need a trash concierge.
In Oklahoma, we don’t do recycling in apartments, just houses. Although, there is a lot two miles away where you can bring recyclables.

I'm glad you managed to get the trash out without taking a tumble. Stairs can be really difficult carrying anything.
Pretty usually takes out trash out to the curbside bin after I change the bag in the garbage can. I worry about just getting myself down our stairs to the yard without carrying anything.
