I'm Getting Re-Tested For Dementia

I've known for about 8 years that I have Mild Cognitive Impairment with pre-early onset dementia. It's been 7 years since I was tested, so it was time for a recheck.
It's done with a neuropsychologist and it's a series of 3 visits. The first visit, which I had today, was an evaluation and history and information session for one hour.
Next week I'm having appointment #2 which is the actual testing, which can take 3-5 hours. Then the following week is the follow-up appointment where I get the results.
I feel like I'm "slipping" or "regressing" a little bit. I do take two Dementia medications and have been for 8 years.
I'm curious to see how I stand compared to prior tests.

I have read your posts and I don´t see any sign of cognitive impairment. Just remember that not all of us are geniouses.

Good luck. You show no cognitive impairment in your writing.

That would scare me, because I’ve always been what we used to call “scatterbrained.” I’m sure if they’d had the testing back then I would easily have been diagnosed with ADHD.

Wow. That long and that many tests would make me nervous. Everybody is different. I have never had a good memory. My husband? He probably remembers when I dropped a pin in the first year of our marriage and that was over 45 years ago!!
