@dgobucks226 - Incredible how healthy countries (like Hawaii) became addicted to some garbage products.

I never had either. They say it's similar to ham lunch meat with a savory and salty flavor.
Maybe like those little cubes of ham meat found in certain dishes, not sure though.
Anyway, thanks for commenting and here are a few fun facts about spam:
- If you take a trip to Hawaii, SPAM is likely to appear in at least one of your meals. Spam is very popular with Hawaiians, the inhabitants of that state being one of the largest consumers of the product.
-Hormel Foods produces 44,000 cans of Spam per hour.

I love SPAM especially with pancakes. They have so many varieties now. I'm not supposed to have it anymore because of the kidney disease....too much sodium and sodium nitrite.

That just might be very tasty!
Have you ever tried spam in any of these recipes:
1. Dice the spam and add it to Mac & Cheese
2. Cubed and added to fried rice
3. Add it to soup
4. Use as an additive to pizza or grilled cheese sandwich

@dgobucks226 I've had a SPAM and cheese sandwich. I've seen the fried rice idea on TV...it looks so good.

Well, not necessarily the brand SPAM, but similar canned meat products (meatloaf, luncheon meat) of other brands. But also very rarely. We normally only resort to those when we have either nothing else to prepare, or we are pressed for time so choose something we can quickly cook.
And so, the meals prepared are probably not to be called "great".
Mostly just simply fried on its own, or added to canned pork and beans, for example. It'll serve as the "pork" in that dish because the "pork" in canned pork and beans are next to non-existent.
