Pittsburgh resident Emmie Ruff had to deal with an accident when a turkey she cooked for Thanksgiving when the stove started smoking. Firefighters from the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department came to put out the fire that started in her oven's insulation and put it out quickly. Since the incident happened on Thanksgiving, the firefighters brought Emmie and her daughter a free turkey for dinner that evening. Emmie appreciated the kind gesture from the firefighters.
