8 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. You know how much I love snow. They're promising 1-3 inches tonight and 3-6 inches tomorrow. You know I want to see the higher side of those numbers. Today was a good day. I'm thankful for the time I could spend with you this morning, interacting with you and seeing what's up in your world. I want you to know, I'm not as ready for Christmas as some of you are that already have your presents wrapped. I still need to buy them. I'm thankful for my haircut today. We couldn't leave as early as we needed to. I texted to say I would be late. When we got there, she said I was right on time. My neighbor also got her hair cut. I'm thankful we went shopping afterward. I got enough to get me through a week or more. I'm making a pot roast tomorrow. When that's gone, I'll make chili or chili casserole. I haven't fully decided what it will be. In any case, I have enough ingredients to make it whichever way I want to make it. I'm thankful my neighbor has heat. The heating people came early this morning. The chirping smoke detector has also been fixed. Missy was terrified of the chirping sound and didn't come out of her corner all day. I'm thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. Another divided chapter. It's coming along well. I should be finished with this edit and revision by the end of the week. Before I continue with it, I'll work on Faith to Believe and get it published soon after the beginning of the new year. Okay, that's my day. I know I have a lot of notifications. I'll work them tomorrow. I don't have anything pressing tomorrow. At least not right now, and with the snow coming, I'm not planning to go anywhere. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image, if I can post one, belongs to me.

I am glad your neighbor has hat, with the cold days it's horrible to be in a cold home.

I've been to the podiatrist today so my toes all look a bit better than they did.

I’m thankful for finding a can of vegetable beef soup in my cabinet, and that it sounded so good. I didn’t think I had anything that seemed appealing.

I'm glad they did too. Yes, it's way too cold to be without it. 24 F right now.
