Good afternoon myLot. I hope your day is going well. It is 37 degrees F and sunny here at the Jersey Shore. It is breezy too. Ugh. Work was busy today. I gave a vocabulary quiz but didn't have time to grade them because I lectured after they were done. I'll deal with them tomorrow. I have a crazy/sad story about something that happened at work but I'll put that in a different post. I have a lot of work to do in the kitchen today. I have to make lemon pound cake and coconut muffins for tomorrow's bake sale. I might do 2 lemon pound cakes because the staff really likes it. (yes they buy too) It was like pulling teeth to get people to volunteer to make stuff. I also need to make lunch for myself and my coworker for tomorrow. I'm doing Rick Bayless' Grilled Chicken Salad with Rustic Guacamole, Romaine, and Queso Anejo. I have to roast the chicken (no grill) and I'm subbing queso fresco because that's what I have. As for dinner. . . who knows? What's everyone else up to this afternoon?

You picked the better Bayless brother of which to be a fan. I don’t mind him being from Oklahoma. Lemon pound cake sounds so good!

Good afternoon. I was outside a little bit ago talking with the pharmacist who was delivering a new prescription. It is 55F and sunny out there. It felt nice. I was sleeping until the pharmacist rang the doorbell. I'll be going back to sleep in a little while. I hope the rest of your day goes well.

This is definitely baking weather for sure. It is freezing outside. Today I went to Marshalls, Sams, and Home Depot with my mom. I will probably just do some online work and then rest a little bit.

Beast of luck with all your baking, I remember when I worked in NYC very cold winter days when I would layer up to get to work, sweat up in the subways with heat coming up inder my bum, then the freezing walk to work, and changing there so my clother would be dry for the subway ride home, It was a wonder I never caught pneumonia,
