“The Christmas Song” is subtitled “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” and is a Christmas song written in 1945 by Robert Wells and Mel Torme. When American singer Nat King Cole recorded this song, it became a big hit on both the pop and R&B charts. He recorded the song in 1953 with a full orchestra. In 2022 Cole’s version was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the US National Recording Registry.
“The Christmas Song” has been featured in such TV shows as “The Simpsons,” “Friends,” “The Office,” and “The Big Bang Theory.”
I have included my favorite meme that I found online with this note: cat nuts, not chestnuts, Don't it just make you chuckle?
Now for Nat King Cole

Nat King Cole's rendition of this song is my favorite song of the season.
