Hot and getting hotter

It’s been a scorcher here today and tomorrow is going to be worse. At 4.00pm, it’s 37C (100F) and tomorrow is supposed to be worse and with the risk of thunderstorms. This is our first week of such high temperatures. Yesterday there was several bushfires and the fire bombers (planes) were recalled to base when some idiot put up a drone. The planes won’t operate if there is a drone in the air. An open day at Government House was cancelled and the food donated to charities. At least it wasn’t wasted. We have a barbecue area in the village just across an interior street from us. There was a community barbecue planned for 2.00pm but it’s now been put back to 4.00pm because of the heat. The barbecue is gas but it’s still too hot to be sitting out in the sun. The photo shows the barbecue area.

100 degrees is much too warm. It's like being in Phoenix or Vegas. I hope you and Vince have a good weekend. Try and stay cool.

Reminds me of the extremely hot days we have from April to July. However this year, we had good amounts of rain in between so the impact was there but in a moderated way. Yet what pinches us many times is the increased humidity.
