We knew we were supposed to have a very cold and snowy weekend. It's morphed into somewhat of a whopper!
The forecast originally said, 1-3 inches of snow. Then, it went to 2-4, then 3-5. It's been snowing pretty much all day, and now we nearly have a whiteout. And the forecast is a possible 8 inches or more.
LOTS of wrecks. I live near 3 interstate highways, and right now they all have bad accidents happening. I've read of several pile-ups with extended closings expected to last for hours. The news and weather people are saying, please STAY HOME if you don't absolutely have to be out, and many businesses have given up and closed for at least today.
I was going to try for a picture but it's coming down so hard right now, it just looks like a white whirlwind. When it slows down, I will try again to get one.
We have absolutely no desire to go anywhere. I enjoy snow, but over the years I have realized more and more that many people have no clue how to drive in it--they just go way to fast and crash. Yep, I will stay home.

We already had some snow left from the snowstorm we had two weeks ago. Then Thursday we added about 4 inches. Now today. I have no idea how much is really out there at this point, but the piles of snow the snowplows make are going to be around for awhile!

There are already enough traffic standstills and wrecks, it's a good day to stay home!

I like living in an area that there are seasons. Not sure why, but I try to enjoy all of them...the only season I find myself not liking hardly at all is when it gets so, so hot in the summertime that no one wants to go outside. Yes, it's very cold. But we can wear layers, etc. and we have heat. But when you're hot, you can only take off so much and then you're not decent...I will stick to seasons. But I understand, many do not like snow or cold weather.

I can’t take cold showers, ever. Not even in the summer. I know that sounds weird but I just can’t.

Glad you are staying home. Too many people don't slow down for bad weather. That has been a lot of changes to the forecast

I only saw 2 Jeeps and snowplows out on my street today. There was one car, but it got stuck trying to come down the street before the plows came. You can't even tell the plows were even here now. I am sure they will no doubt be working all night long, but they have a lot of streets to cover.

We have stayed inside today. The state police, etc recommended no travel unless absolutely necessary. There were wrecks and pile-ups everywhere.

So many people simply do not realize that they need to slow down. Then they slide off the road, or run into something, and still they don't get it. So foolish...slowing down solves a lot of the problem--not all of it, of course, but it sure does help.

We have received more snow in the past two weeks than we got all of last winter. Last year was a mild winter for our area.
I can’t help but worry about the homeless people trying to survive in below zero temperatures. I realize that it’s a problem in many places, now more than ever, but this cold is deadly without warm clothing, food, and the wind chill at rock bottom.

As long as you are safe and warm and can enjoy the snow from your windows,
