The Christmas song “Silver Bells” was first heard in the 1951 film “The Lemon Drop Kid,” where it was sung by William Frawley, who is the actor who played Fred Mertz in “I Love Lucy.” It is a wonderful scene from this movie where Frawley as Santa begins the song, and then Bob Hope takes it up. I think you will enjoy the scene and the song.

I always enjoy hearing the Christmas song "Silver Bells." One of my favorite listens. The lyrics definitely gets you in the Christmas mood with the ringing bells, children laughing, and the hustle bustle of shoppers coming home with their presents.
Fun scene with Mertz, Hope and Maxwell. The great crooner Bing Crosby, together with Carol Richards, did the first recorded version.
