Jena Birdsong was with her husband Nathan were on the way to a hospital on November 14 when she realized that her baby was going to be born before the couple would get to the hospital. Nathan had to pull up at a Buc[ees parking lot when he called Mercy Hospital and ger instructions on how to deliver a child around 3am. Nathan was able to deliver the baby girl who is named Eaina Grace Birdsong when a Strafford police officer arrived on the scene to take the child to the local hospital in good condition. My first thought was, I love Bucc-ee’s! My second thought was did she save any money by giving birth in the parking lot, or are they going to make up the difference in some vague made up medical fee. I am so disillusioned with the medical field. But never disillusioned with Bucc-ee’s!

3am in the morning, is a bit of a nightmare, for anyone, and I am glad that I never had to go through something like that.

That would be a bit worrying for all concerned.

The daughter of one of my friends had her baby in the car on the way to the hospital. Her husband was driving her, she screamed for him to help so he called 911 and said he was pulling over to help his wife have her baby. The police got there very quickly--with about one minute to spare! It' good that the baby was born safely, George. I am glad they didn't name their baby girl after it's birthplace, She never would have lived down being called Buc-ee's!

It was good the baby was delivered without too much drama. I would have needed instructions too.
