The Christmas Invitation I decided to decline

Lately I was added to a whatsapp group which is about a Christmas Day event. Dancing is a major agenda in the event. Registration fee is quite affordable and there will be good prices for top dancers. Most of the invitees look familiar to me. I would have really liked to attend the event as a spectator but one of the requirements is that before entry at the venue’s gate, one has to dance to a song or tune of choice for 15 seconds. I must confess here and now that I am one of the shyest people on the planet and I do not think I can dance even for just two seconds. I therefore chose to sponsor somebody else, paid the required fees and he’s now going to represent me. Who else is as shy as I am when it comes to dancing?

I need really great motivation to get me to stand out in a crowd so I could not do that either,

I'm shy and quiet around large groups of people or those I've never met before. But I do like to dance to certain types of music, so as long as I can choose my song, I would do it.
That was a nice way to support your group by having someone represent you and also solve your shyness dilemma.
