I always have enjoyed horseradish on roast beef dishes. My grandmother used to scrape the root and make it for the table. I like wasabi, hot mustard and such things but I don't care for hot pepper or chilis. I was reading about horseradish and was pleasantly surprised at the many benefits I found this food has. Here are a few:
* It has antibacterial action and helps to fight infections and clear sinuses.
* It fights cell damage and help to prevent cancer.
* Can be affective for bronchitis symptoms, urinary tract infections, muscle aches and fluid retention.
* It reduces inflammation, and conditions such as arthritis.
* It has Vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. It is also a good source of fiber, immunity, bone and heart health.

I like horseradish but can't eat hot/spicy foods anymore. I used to eat a lot of jalapenos but can't eat those anymore, either.
