Only 997 to Go

It was kind of funny to me. The other day my wife asked me how my YouTube channel, Synthetic Echoes, was doing. "I only need 997 more subscribers to even be able to think to have a shot to monetize," I told her. She literally laughed. "You only have 3 subscribers?" Hey, it's a work in progress and success never happens overnight. I have faith that maybe this channel has more opportunities than others before it have, and I like to think I am talented enough to at least have a shot. Perhaps that's wishful thinking, but I have heard stranger stories before, so who knows what could happen if all the stars align for me just right. In any event, I always like to share what I am doing, and so of course, whenever an opportunity arises to do that, I am going to take the leap and do it. It's very interesting to hear my music in ways I never could have hoped to accomplish from my "bedroom studio." To me, it even makes the process of making music that much more fun when I can even have a chance to hear what it might sound like if someone who really knew what they were doing...
