I am always interested in the woman's side of things. How she has been perceived in history. How she has advanced down through history. Why women have been so slow to get any rights at all. There has been some woman who have helped all womankind advance and my hat is off to them. There is a story of women during the Victorian Era (!837-1901) that amazes me. I have posted some about the life of families during that time but not fully about the women during it. I am going to post about what their life was like, how they were treated, etc.
I think this will make for some interesting reading. But if you don't care to read about this period in women's growth, please feel free to move on. I am just writing this to alert you to what I have planned for this next year. I think many of you may find it as interesting as I do.
Thank you.

I tend to skip posts that I don't feel I can contribute to in a meaningful way. As a woman, I find it discusting that we've always (even today) have been treated differently from men. Even with all the right's we've accomplished, it's still unbalanced. Change in general is slow.

I totally agree with what you said. What I found astounding was what women went through during the Victorian age. It is very sad, and I think other women should know just how women were treated back then. So, I will write them and those that want to can read them.

@kaylachan .......I just can't abide it. I have to put my rose-colored glasses on. I wish so much that I could help them.

@celticeagle Some women, depending on the country, are still treated like that and worse.

I have always been interested in all kinds of history. Might I suggest you go way back see how things were say in Ancient Rome, Greece, perhaps famous women in history etc, There is a lot you can do. Here is a link to start you off or give you ideas
The exact role and status of women in the Roman world, and indeed in most ancient societies, has often been obscured by the biases of both ancient male writers and 19-20th century CE male scholars...

At some point I might go back to Ancient Rome. I have done some about Egypt. Right now, I am doing a deep dive on Victorian Era which is an interest of mine.

They weren't allowed to have 'beliefs'. If they did, they were better off not voicing them. Like children back then they were to be seen and not heard from at all.
