I Go To Bed With One Weather Forecast And Wake Up With A Completely Different One

What the hell is going on with the meteorologists?
I've been watching the 7-day forecast, which called for rain today and later this week and now that is completely gone. No rain in the next 7 days.
It also had predicted warmer temperatures, but now we're back to below-freezing temperatures at 20F right now at 7 am Tuesday with a high predicted today of 30F.
They're usually more consistent than this but the last few days it changes itself within hours of reading it. So you can't really judge or predict what's coming up the next day even.

James Spann calls those “crap apps,” because they’re generated by the automated National Weather Service forecast that services the app in question.

I always think it is weird when they change the forecast substantially during the course of the week. I watch the channel that supposedly has the best weather for the area, but even they sometimes don't get it right, and have to make big changes to the forecast. Your weather looks colder than ours for sure.

This time of year is so hard to predict. They predicted 3-6" of s**w. We got about an inch; and some places got 10+ inches. That lake effect will do it every time.

Maybe they are all on Christmas Break and the forecasts are being done by AI.

What bothers me is when the weatherman predicts a light snowfall in my area which turns into a major snowstorm. Just when you happy you're going to escape a lot of shoveling...Boom!
