Sort of weird to think about I guess but I was thinking of all the things I've done in my life and the interesting memories. Then I started thinking about the things I haven't done. That I had on a bucket list I had compiled but never did. I have never gotten a professional manicure or pedicure. I have never gotten a massage or other spa treatments. I have never been on a cruise or traveled to those islands where they usually take you. I have never owned a home. I have never parachuted out of a plane. That was on my bucket list too. I never been to Africa, Asia or Europe. But life is good. I feel relatively healthy and my kids are as well. These are the things that matter to me now. I hope I stick around a while longer. Maybe I can get a few of those things done. 74 years and counting.... A lot of things I haven't done. A lot of things I don't care to do. How do you feel about such things? Did you ever make a bucket list?

I always wanted to go to England, Scotland and Wales and move to the Keys. I thought we were going to travel a lot when I retired; but that didn't happen because of my disability.

I have always wanted to see that part of the world. Wanted to after I retired too but never could afford it.

I've never made a bucket list. The things I cared about doing I've already done. Pretty and I traveled all over the US. I've been into Mexico and didn't enjoy that part of the trip. I was very happy to come back to the US. There are still things I'd like to do but nothing I really WANT to do anymore. I'm happy talking on myLot, reading my books and watching videos on YT. *shrug*

I went down into Mexico one day for a fancy lunch while with the carnival down in Texas. A older man had invited me. I told him only if my roommate could go. We had lamb and shrimp. The lamb was horrible, and the shrimp was my first experience with the butterfly variety. Very tasty. I still want to do the New Orleans and Mackinaw Island trip, but I doubt I will ever be able to. I've done so much in my life that I am happy right here in my room. I would like to upgrade for a better bed and such. I'd love to get out of this apartment too. I have a few years left so maybe something will happen.

@DaddyEvil ......Good of you to do that. I probably wouldn't have seen the amount of places I have it weren't for the carnival and a ex who wanted to see Canada. I agree with your sentence very much.

@celticeagle If my friend hadn't asked me to bring him back from Mexico, I never would have left the US. (I went to school with him. His parents took him back to Mexico when they moved back there and he never liked it. He called me so I drove down and brought him back with me.) I can't imagine the rest of the world would be any more interesting than what we have in the US, so I'm satisfied right here.

I kind of have a bucket list. I have parachuted out of a plane. That kicked off my bucket list it's a very long list, which seems to get longer as I add more than I complete. I've never owned a home (amd probably never will). A cruise is on my bucket list but that's currently out of my budget. I've not been to another continent (I live in England and have only holidayed in the UK and a very small part of the European continent. There are lots of things I've done, lots more things I'd like to do, and probably things I'd not considered. I wouldn't really put a manicure or pedicure on a bucket list. I've never had one of either but have no Internet in them.

@celticeagle I like being in and around water. My husband wouldn't go on a cruise (well, I might persuade him to go on one of those river cruises somewhere not too warm! He's OK with water as long as he can see the bottom. He doesn't care how deep or shallow it is

I wouldn't care to go on a cruise. I am afraid of the water and just thinking about being on a boat out in the middle of it scares me. Water all around me. Oh my.

I do have a bucket list as well, but I think most of them are sort-of impossible to be checked. But hey, you doing a professional mani-pedi or getting a massage or spa treatment is kinda doable, don't you think?

Mine are pretty impossible at this point as well. The massage day does sound nice. I see some good ways to save on it too. Maybe in the springtime.

No, I just have an endless 'to-do' list And seriously I wouldn't know where to start with a 'what I want to do in my life' list (I don't even like the name 'bucket list'); it would basically be a long list of places I have never visited, and some I would like to go back to. It would essentially be endless, because there are so many places and many I wouldn't even know I wanted to go to yet. On the other hand there are lots of things I have done. I've never had a manicure or pedicure or spa treatment either, but I have parachuted out of a plane!

Oh, yes that never ending list. Parachuting out of a plane will always be something I will wonder about.
