We will have our big celebration on the 10th. So I made another batch of fudge today and put it in the freezer. Also made some more rice krispie treats. Hubby might eat all those before. But it's a quick microwave recipe so doesn't take long. I will get buckeyes made soon and put in the freezer. I want to get this stuff done now as it will be a busy week next week. First I have jury selection on Wednesday. A doctor's checkup on Thursday. And then Friday is the auction. Friday night or Saturday I will bake some cookies and maybe cupcakes. Then I will be done. Hubby is fixing dinner.
The rest of the day I just walked. It was a good day to stay inside as it only got to 23 outside. If the forecast doesn't change we should have 40s next week. I hope so.
Hope you had a good day.

My parents haven't had their Christmas yet. There has been too much snow up there. Hopefully, it will be coming up soon though. Looks like the weather will be improving.

@wolfgirl569 - Exactly, if we have to prepare everything while the guests are there, we cannot even enjoy the company.

Sounds like you’re doing a great job getting ahead so things don’t pile up later. Having fudge, Rice Krispie treats, and soon buckeyes ready in the freezer will make the celebration much faster and easier. I can imagine the Rice Krispie treats disappearing quickly as they’re so tempting. It’s smart to use quick recipes when you have a busy schedule coming up. I do the same as well. Jury selection, a doctor’s appointment, and the auction all in one week is definitely a lot to juggle with. Saving the cookie and cupcake baking for the very end feels like a good plan. It must be nice to know that once those are done, you can finally relax. Having your husband fix dinner takes one more thing off your plate. Staying inside sounds like the right choice with temperatures that cold. A quiet day with some walking and prep work can feel very satisfying. Warmer weather in the 40s would be a welcome change next week. For me , it has been a normal day. Enjoy the time!

I don't want to be cramming everything later.
