When I worked in National Law university in Jodhpur, I travelled to different parts of Rajasthan, the biggest state of India. In Chittaurgarh the land of the rajputs, the traditional wear is colourful. Even swords are given as symbols of warriors. Major rajputs were involved in warfare over last 400 years.

thanks Judy there are some logical reasons why the turban is big. the turban on the head soaks the heat in summer and chill in winter

Rajputs have a big history as legendary warriors like Maharana Pratap. Their attire is colorful and they have a distinct culture of Art, song, dance and great food. I would like to visit Jaipur, Jodhpur and Mount Abu.
