When you take the wrong bus, it is best not to panic:)

I should have found it suspicious that the bus was waiting for me. It stood still, which meant it was its first station. I lost 35-40 minutes, going back and forth but at least i discovered how to get to a cable car station by bus. I just felt tired waiting for a second and then third bus to my way home. Going on business to the hills it's not fun and i prefer urban area more. And i must admit, i panicked a bit. I thought the driver would stare at me suspicously or ask me why am i the only one who didn't exit the bus. O, well. Do you panic easily or you don't panic at all?

I do not panic, if not absolutely sure, when I ride a bus I ask to the driver if the bus is going exactly to the direction I expect. Better safe than sorry.

@valherma00 We get into a bus from the front door, so I always ask to the driver if I am getting the right bus.

@LadyDuck it's a rule here to enter from the front door but i always go on the second, since all doors are opened

I start questioning people but there is no use in panicking. It doesn't help and doesn't solve anything.

Depends on the situation, but I typically don't. I'd rrather have an oh s-hit moment, then I would panic. Panicking doesn't resolve the issue, and it's hard to think through a problem when you are.

@valherma00 I know the instinctual thing to do is panic, but it doesn't solve anything.

I did that not long ago. I caught a bus across town, thinking it was the bus to take me home, then while I was on it I wondered why it was going a certain way. I asked the bus driver what bus I was on and he told me the 24, when I should have been on the 11. I just rode the 24 back to the bus station and caught the 11 when it came.

I tend to panic easily when I have to wait for my ride from the insurance company to take me home from the hospital.

I don’t tend to panic anymore, but I probably would get very concerned about taking the wrong bus. I’m just not familiar with bus routes. The closest bus stop to me is 2 miles away.
