Tonight is the Golden Globes

I used to watch those award shows religiously. I'd watch the red carpet to see what everyone was wearing and then would watch the show. I gave up several years ago though. I don't watch new movies and the show is on after my bedtime. So no more for me. Yes I'll read about the show tomorrow and see who was best/worst dressed but it just isn't a thing for me these days.

I quit watching the entire show in my teens, but when Ricky Gervais hosted several years I’d watch the monologue. He skewered so many people who deserved it. I remember him calling out the Kardashians while they were there. When he no longer hosted, I didn’t even bother with the monologue. Nikki Glaser is a pretty freaking talented comedian though…she’ll knock it out of the park.
I just don’t watch any of those shows they nominate. Or really, those movies.

I saw photos of some of those on the red carpet but I didn't recognise any names. We watch enough TV to know too many.

I really don't like award shows, or beauty contests, etc. I never watch them. I don't watch new movies, because I don't go to movie theaters. Once upon a time, we went at times, but now they are so expensive it's nuts. I find plenty to watch on television and my streaming service always has decent movies.
