Sunday wasn’t a fun day

When Friday came around, I started thinking about what to do Sunday. I wanted to go somewhere and do something fun to cheer myself up.
Then I found out from my mom that Sunday would not be a fun day for me. Instead of having fun, I’d be attending a funeral.
My cousin’s dad passed away, which I found shocking. He was 80 years old.
Everything was happening today. The funeral home, the cemetery and the restaurant. While at the event I started to miss my dad who is no longer here. And I started to miss my husband as well. Currently, he’s that only on paper.
It was definitely a sad day, but on the bright side, I got to see my relatives that I haven’t seen in a while. I wonder, why does it take the passing of someone to get everyone together under one roof?

He doesn’t keep in touch with me.
Only if there’s a need. He did wish me a happy birthday, thankfully. I wasn’t even sure he would do that.

@lovebuglena So there’s not really talk of marriage counseling that might reunite you two?
