Remember not long ago they were 4 or 5 dollars a dozen? I hope those days are gone never to return. However, with the next bird flu or some such, all bets are off.

That is a good price and about what ours are. Believe it or not they were up to $12 a dozen here for quite awhile.

There is another bird flu situation on the rise. I'm glad you were able to get eggs so cheap.

We pay more or less the same price for a dozen eggs from $ 2.00 up to 3.00 according to the size of the eggs.

@snowy22315 - It's the average price here in Italy, eggs were more expensive in Switzerland. They imported from the EU, but they imposed tariffs, so the customers paid more.

Sounds like a bargain compared to what they cost a short while ago.

That’s a pretty good deal, snowy. Last time I saw eggs at that price, it was just a 6-pack of them @ Walmart.

I'm with you there, We buy the 5 dz & what they were costing was killing us but thank God we stock up on them kinds of things being we have 2 fridge's & 2 freezers (1 in each place) so that helps. So we can have 20 dz eggs & that will last us a few mons.

Geez, how many eggs do you eat? It would take me years to go through 20 dozen eggs!

@snowy22315 well when you have a husband that loves potato salads, egg salads, tuna salads, scramble eggs, over easy eggs, egg sandwiches, we go through a LOT of eggs, I don't eat nowhere close to what he eats, that's why I had to get back into my cabin cause of how he eats. & from what his dr's say, his cholesterol is none & I don't eat a doz a mon & have to be on cholesterol meds for life.

Oh gosh they were up to $6 or more at our local store. Today they had a sale for 1.49 for an 18 pack. I am so glad I don’t have to ration eggs anymore.
