The Dark Web is Bugging Me Today

I got an email supposedly from Social Security (SS). It said that SS had a new document for me to see but it was to an email I don't use on any of our SS accounts. I had my grandson check it out. He did his magic and found it to be fake. The links given in the body of the email were fake I had hovered over my email but hadn't checked the one it was coming from. Durr! So, hackers are even faking SS emails now? Good grief!

@celticeagle Someday, hopefully, some government agency will do something about them.

I thought I had got a fake mail saying I was due a tax refund. The mail was fake. I phoned the tax people and they said although they didn't send the mail I was indeed online for a rebate. And I got it

It is a shame that hackers are getting into social security emails now.

Yes. I always check the email address. Social Security usually sends things by mail. Rarely by email.
