It's Card-Playing Day With the Girls

I will go the gym first this morning, then after I'm home and cleaned up, I will meet the 3 girlfriends for lunch and to play cards at a local restaurant. We've been doing this for 6 1/2 years. We play a version of Canasta called "hand and foot." It's good to have regular girls day out outings. Do you have friend outings?

I hope you all have a great time. Not any more. My friends moved away during the pandemic looking for work and live too far away for casual get-togethers. *shrug*

@LooeyVille Maybe... we almost never leave the house. We only go out to doctor appointments or to buy groceries. I do visit with the neighbors once in a while.

My friends have jobs so day outings are rare. We’re more inclined to come over to my apartment, or go to my best friend’s Naomi’s house on the weekend.

Sounds like a fun day with the girls. I miss the days when my friends and I would get together but we don't live close to each other anymore. Our fun times now are marathon phone calls. Now I have fun with my daughters
