Firefighters from the Walker Fire Department in Michigan answered an emergency call on Thursday morning January 15 around 1:30 am when a fire broke out in the third floor when the occupant was inside the home when the fire started in the kitchen.
Firefighters from Walker and Alpine firefighters rescued the occupant. Police officers from the Walker Police Department helped the residents get out of the apartment safely.
Thank goodness the firefighters managed to put out the fire and prevent serious damage to the apartment.
The person who was inside the burning apartment was evaluated by medical personnel and released.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities, I just wonder if the occupant in the apartment was cooking a meal overnight?

@Deepizzaguy It is great when a person's life is saved. I wonder what started the fire.

I am scared of being trapped in a multi level apartment, and the occupant here was lucky to be rescued from such a hairy predicament.

I can relate to what you are saying since apartments are not my favorite place to live.
