Let’s Go to Coyote

The village, located in Rio Arriba County, was named after Coyote Canyon. The canyon, presumably, was so named because of the large number of coyotes that could be heard howling during the night.  The town’s roots date back to the San Joaquin Land Grant, given by the King of Spain in the early 1800s. But because of clashes with indigenous people, the town was sparsely populated and then essentially abandoned.  Coyote has a post office with ZIP code 87012, a store, a gas station and a school The photo is of the Coyote Village and Commons

My kind of town. It reminds me of Lane, Kansas many years ago. Gas Station, post office tiny store.

@RasmaSandra I don't know if Lane has internet or not. I lived there a long time ago and we didn't have it then. I would love to visit Coyote.

It looks nice and Coyotes as neighbors are always cool as long as you are not smaller than them. They jerks to those animals.
