Happy Sunday Everyone!! it was a snowy day yesterday and more again today.
As pretty as it looks it's a nuisance.
Was expecting no snow for today so it was quite a surprise when we got about 3 more inches on top of the mess from yesterday. Our HOA only does snow removal when it's 3 inches or above so since it fell on top of yesterdays mess they were hemming and hawing about whether they were required to come or not. Geez!! how could that even be a question? our sidewalks and driveways are covered and it's as slippery as heck. Finally, we got a notice that they would be here "some time" today.
Meanwhile, since we weren't expecting it to snow again last night and this morning we put in an order from Walmart to get delivered. What a surprise (insert sarcasm here) that they are experiencing delays with deliveries.
To add more frustration to all this, my neighbor across the street (the only one on the block that doesn't get along with anyone) always parks in front of my house. I know I don't own the street but common courtesy he would move his car so the plow could do a clean job of removing the snow. But, no! so the plow has to go around his stupid car and then when he does move we have a mess left in front of our house. Last year we had to ring his bell numerous times to ask him to move his car.
If you can't tell, I'm really annoyed this morning and needed to vent. I know it's all silly stuff but this is one of the reasons I hate snow.
Anyway, I'm hoping that I can just relax and enjoy the day and find a good movie to watch. It's certainly a day that calls for snacks

I am not liking that neighbor of yours at all. And if it is important to you, it’s important, period.
I can understand why you’d be sick of snow. It’s also a little mind boggling the HOA would need to debates their responsibility in plowing.
You’ll have to tell us what movie you decide to watch. I’ll be catching some NFL games today, and hopefully my dad will be over.

@Marilynda1225 It is 44 outside, but the windchill is 30 degrees. It’s always the wind that gets us. I’m sure it sounds a lot better considering what you’re dealing with. And I really don’t like the thought of your daughter out there shoveling when the occasion calls for it.
And your poor son sure doesn’t need that on his day off. That’s really disappointing.I’m understanding why you hate snow so much. If I had to deal with it constantly I would too.

How's the weather there? I got a call from my son this morning and they have about a foot of snow between yesterday and today, He's spending his Sunday shoveling and plowing (they have acres of property}. Sunday is his only day off from work so I know he isn't thrilled.
The HOA only comes when there's 3 inches or more. We had enough yesterday for them to come but since last nights fell on what was already there they didn't think we had 3 inches. All in all there's more than 8 inches so far and it's still flurrying. When they don't come my poor daughter has to go out and shovel the driveway and sidewalk. It's too much for her.
My neighbor is the most inconsiderate person on the block. Aside from him everyone else is really nice. He thinks he's the exception to every rule. I should be used to it by now as he's been living here as long as I have,
Hope you get to see your dad today and that your team wins. Don't know what movie we'll look for but I'll let you know.

It’s not silly at all . I understand how you feel and I would feel the same.
Our neighbours constantly park outside o house and the other two neighbours houses…..even though they have a drive big enough for their two cars. Both us and our neighbour has children/ grandchildren visiting regularly and then there is nowhere to park. The one day our neighbours son came their car was again in front of his Moms ….so he parked in front of the inconsiderate neighbours house ….and, guess what, their son came out and told him to move his car. He response was “ I will if you will “.

Sounds like you have the same problem as I do. My neighbor is a divorced guy and has three cars. Two are in his driveway and the other is permanently parked in front of my house. Why he doesn't clean out his garage and park his cars in there is beyond me. But, I know how you feel because I have the same problem when my family/company comes to visit. They have to park somewhere else instead of in front of my house, Guess we all have to deal with that one person who thinks the world revolves around them.

@Marilynda1225 we even told the neighbour she could park on our drive during the week as our car wouldn’t be moving …..The Mister works away Monday to Friday and I don’t drive. She still didn’t ….still parked in front of our house ….
Just before Christmas they had their drive extended …..grass was taken up to give more space ….they now can easily get three if not four cars on there ….yet still their visitors park in front of our house. If I am around I ask them to move now.

It’s just cold here. No annoying neighbors (I’ve had most of the same neighbors for 30-plus years!), thank God.
It’s sn*wing in Georgia and Florida!

i hate when people leave cars parked wherever they want. i am sorry. sidewalks were bad here too, when it snowed. here it's only cold but snow could come at friday but i hope it won't. enjoy.

The weather doesn't sound bad on paper. However, that's on paper. Go outside and you get sick of the wind pretty quickly. Or, at least I do. George listned to one cd and now he's eating chips. so yay.

We have had snow squalls and flurries off and on for several days. It’s very cold. I know they plowed the street about 4 AM, I heard it. So far today it’s still ok from that. It would definitely irritate me about the neighbors car always being in front of my house. Can’t your HOA do something about that?

That would piss me off greatly.
We have the same issues here but if the parked car doesn't block someone from getting out of their drive then there ain't nothing can be done about it
We don't have annoying neighbours and the weather being bad is quite good as I can stay indoors
