It's cold out there

Good Monday to you all,
They said it was going to be brutally cold today and I don’t think they were wrong. Right now it is a nice 1F (-17C) with winds at 18mph making the temperature feel like -17F (-27C).
I went out to fill the gas tank in the car, and I think that is enough outdoor activity for me for the day. Since I have no reason to be outside, I will stay in.
I seen a guy I know is homeless walking towards the library and I’m hoping he was headed there to get indoors for a while. It’s too cold to be out there for too long.
Hope the weather is a little nicer where you are, if not make sure to be careful out there and stay warm.

Minus 17C is cold.
Very cold.
I sure wouldn't be out on a day as cold as that, especially at my age
I hope the homeless guy is ok.
I was homeless once and not in the winter, and it was bad enough.

It's dangerous cold out there. I don't know for sure if he uses it or not, but we do have 2 homeless shelters in town that open at sundown and close at I believe its 9am. So at least there is a place they can get out of the weather over night.

@Ineeddentures Right, I don't know what the issue is. at least we have some places they will be open during the day where people are allowed to hang out during the day.

Pity these places dont stay open 24/7
Here they seem to be able to get homeless people a.bed at Xmas so why not every night

It was decent and George enjoyed the porch with just one sweatshirt today. Yesterday we tried, but couldn't stand to be out.

We were at 13F this morning when my daughter and I had to leave for a specialist appointment 70 miles away... We had flurries off and on all day and a 12 mph wind. But we still weren't as cold as you were.
I'm glad you didn't need to be out in the cold today. I was very happy when we got home around noon. It had warmed up to 21F by then.

it's -4C today but that was good cause, yesterday was -6C.degrees. i also hope the homeless guy warmed himself in the library.
