I am getting nervous now. We have this big storm approaching this weekend that looks like to will bring big snow accumulations. There is also the possibility of ice and definitely low temps. It sounds like the storm we had a few years ago where power was off for days I may have to take the snow blower in to get a switch fixed.. not sure if they can do that though..but maybe.

I'm hoping they're wrong as I've had enough snow and cold from this past weekend. I'm definitely going to make sure I have enough of everything in my refrigerator and pantry just in case those accumulations are high. It always makes me nervous when they say "significant" accumulations and I'm always more nervous about losing power.

Losing power is a disaster here as this whole house is electric. Ippray it won,t be as bad as the one 3 years ago.

@snowy22315 All electric is rough and being without power is a disaster when it's freezing cold out. No power just knocks everything out and that's one thing I worry about, Even when it goes out for a short amount of time it's hard to deal with but days?? NOPE

@Marilynda1225 It was Hell when it happened here befor even and icouldn'get out for two days either. I did sit in the car wi th the heat on a couple of times though.

I have more in place now than I did then for power outage..but it will still be horrible if that happens. I asked sis for a battery operated blanket for my birthday but she just gave a bunch of other heat related things..some of which are one time use.

They are telling us to prepare too for bad road conditions and power outages. I hope that all of your needs will be met.

At this point they are flip-flopping our forecast here from a little snow to more snow, but it’s not the snow that’s a big deal here so much as the frigid temperatures. Try to get anything that you need before it hits, have candles, etc. I hope you don’t lose your power, I know how miserable that can be. We’ve already had days and days of extreme cold here. Just be safe, Snowy!

Just a few minutes back I saw the images of snowfall in the USA, Russia and many other countries It looks wonderful, but causes many problems for you
