Good Grief It's Cold {even the dog didn't want to be outside}

Happy Tuesday Everyone! the sun is shining but it's COLD. Weather forecasters are saying we're in an Artic Blast. I'm happy to say that I don't have anywhere to go and can just enjoy my nice warm house. Our local Facebook page is saying the roads are slippery around town so that makes me doubly glad I don't need to go anywhere,
I'm thinking of making something warm and comforting for dinner. It's just a matter of what I can throw into the crockpot and let it cook all day. Chili? Stew? Soup?
My Amazon package that has been delayed for the past two days now says it will be here today. Thankfully it isn't something I desperately needed so even if takes another day that's okay. I feel bad for any delivery person who has to be out on the road today.
Since there's not much going on with me today, I'm going to have my second cup of coffee and see what's happening in the myLot world.

Sounds like a really clever dog.
My neighbours cats have not been out on weeks it's been so cold

My Amazon package has disappeared from the tracking radar app and I don't know if it's ever going to come or not. Allegedly this Thursday. But I ordered it Jan 6th

I got a notification my Amazon package was damaged in transit and was going back to the sender. It was free, so it doesn’t bother me, but I’ve never been notified of one being damaged. It must have been bad because usually they bring the package even if it is smushed.
I hope you can think of something that hits the spot tonight. Everything you mentioned sounds very tasty!

I've had packages that never arrived and was able to either cancel for a refund or have a new one delivered but never had Amazon say something couldn't be delivered due to damage. Yes I've gotten some pretty smashed boxes too

I'm glad you don't need to be out in the cold! I had a doctor appointment yesterday and had to drive to Springfield in 13F temps yesterday morning. Our high only reached 25F yesterday afternoon. There were snow flurries while we were at the doctor's office. (It only stuck in the grass, thankfully!)
We started off COLD this morning but it's already up to 21F at 10 am and is supposed to reach 46F by this afternoon.
Pretty is talking about going shopping this afternoon. We'll see how late she sleeps, though. If it's already getting dark before she gets up, I won't be driving anywhere.

Your temperatures seem to be a bit higher than ours. We were in single digits when I got up this morning but it got a little warmer as the day went on. The next few days the temperatures will be like a roller coaster (some highs and some lows) with the potential for a big snow storm over the weekend.
Glad you managed to get to your doctors appointment yesterday.

It's in the 30s here, but warming up. I know that's not cold for some places, but it is for eastern NC.
Enjoy your nice hot coffee...glad you don't have to go out.
