Good morning myLot

Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 28 degrees F and dark here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 40. . . but tonight's low is 8! I was in bed early and unfortunately woke up at 3:30am. I couldn't fall back to sleep so I just got up. Fine. I'm cooking some bacon to make myself a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a homemade English muffin. I sliced up some strawberries to have as a snack and packed some dinner leftovers for my lunch. Work today will hopefully be quiet. The students will be working independently today which will give me time to catch up on grading. I don't have a lot to do but the marking period ends soon so I want to get it done. Today is Friday so I'm hoping to pick up a coverage or two. I haven't had many lately because I've seen a bunch of new substitutes in the building. I have an hour of tutoring this afternoon. This girl is difficult. Luckily this is the last one with her. She is going on full homebound and her classroom teacher is taking it over. I'm not sad about that. Then it will be the weekend! It most likely will be a 3-day weekend as we are getting snow on Sunday. I just checked the warning and they are saying 12-17 inches. That may make it a 4-day weekend. What's everyone else up to today?

They already canceled school for today, here. The freezing drizzle has started, but the snow shouldn’t start until noon. Yum, strawberries! Actually, everything you end up eating sounds good. Lol

The school here is making a point of saying school will be in session today. It's on the school website, the radio this morning and on television. They WANT those kids in school today!

@AmbiePam When I was little, I remember us going to school and then it started snowing by 10 am. By noon school was let out but the buses could only make the city rounds to drop kids off at home. We walked the 7 miles home...

Good morning. It is currently 21F in my part of Missouri this morning. Our high is supposed to reach 22F and be snowing by this afternoon (100% chance). According to The Weather Channel, it will be snowing here from this afternoon through sometime Sunday... Different weather forecasts are giving several different accumulation amounts. The smallest forecast if for 6 inches and the highest forecast is for over a foot by Sunday. I started a new-to-me book by Esther M. Friesner last night and am having trouble putting it down long enough to come to myLot this morning. It's really funny! Hopefully, you have a wonderful day today. Good luck with the snow!

Just hunkering down for the bad weekend. It was 7 below zero this morning. It's going to stay cold for the next week which makes me sad. Fortunately I don't have any appointments until February 5. Hopefully it will warm up by then. Stay safe and warm.

A 4 day weekend sounds like a really good idea to me. That would make next week shorter so the next weekend will come around quicker.
