The First World is learning what we, in the Third World, were forced to face nearly fifty years ago.
America can't be trusted. It is built on lies, hypocrisy, and utilises the ability to bully.
Go back in history; why did it get involved in VietNam? And after it pulled out it left behind those who had helped. Those who risked, who lost their lives.
America would pop into some nation, be it in the Caribbean or Africa, offer goodies. Goodies which were tainted and had more than strings attached.
We were given 'string loans'... were loaned money we had to use to buy American goods and then had to repay the loan.
Every piece of aid they 'gave' us cost more than the value.
We learned not to use 'trigger' words. Not to show public affinity for countries the US didn't support.
Being Third World, nothing is expected of us and if we can keep our business out of the spotlight, we can survive.
Europe depended on the US after WWII and should have done what Japan did, slowly pull back. Japan builds its own cars, electronic goods, so that it doesn't need the US.
While Europe has its own industries it still kept many links to America. Links which are now rusted and failing.
Yes, it wasn't until Trump came to power that the masks dropped. It wasn't until this second term of devastation that the true nature of Pharaoh Trump was revealed. But Europe should have realised what was going on years before.
Trump wants to grab Greenland, invaded Venezuela, threatens Canada, and has wiped his feet on every European power.
It is time for the world to cut trade, reliance, and deference to America. Time for it to trade among themselves and with other nations, dealing as little as possible with America.
As prices rise in the US, as the value of the dollar, declines, as their reputation crumbles, it is time to appreciate that dealing with China or even Russia is safer.

exactly. Japan figured it out in before 1960... we, in the third world didn't fully get it until the 1980s. America is the most unreliable 'partner'. Canada is right to move it's focus to China. Let America slap tariffs on them... they'll trade with the rest of the world.
Having an idiot like Trump in the White House will actually benefit the rest of the world and America will shrink to a minor trading partner.

The arms dealers hold sway and they are calling the tune.
Our world is reeking with hypocrisy.
Today's friends are tomorrow's cannon fodder.
The world order is upside down and the gloves are off.
“It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.”
? Henry Kissinger. That is proved right sadly now.
