24 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from COLD Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It's -7 F and feels like -8 F, so it's getting warmer out there. At least we're not -40 F with the wind chill. We're 4 degrees warmer than yesterday's high. It has been a good day. I'm thankful I finished the edit and revision of In the Hands of Mighty Men. It was a challenging and necessary intense revision of the later chapters. I am very happy with how it turned out, and I'm happy with the cover AI produced and the blurb which is the only AI generated text for the book. I'm thankful I got all the notifications done today, as promised. It was good interacting with you to see how you're faring with the winter storm crossing the country. I know many of you are ready and waiting for the first flakes for the many inches of snow you're going to receive and many of you have already received many inches of snow. I can say, I would rather have the snow than the fierce wind chills we had the last two days. I'm thankful for my neighbor. I asked if she wanted to hear one of my stories. I'm doing a voice read through of Firestorm. It is sounding very good. She likes it so far. We listened to four chapters in an hour. What I liked is that she said she could see the characters and the action. That's what I always hope to achieve with my writing. I'm thankful for running the dishwasher. I need to get the kitchen cleaned up yet tonight and get the turkey back in the fridge after sitting on the patio for most of yesterday and today, with periods in the apartment to warm up to keep the bird from freezing. It's in the apartment now. I'll put it in the fridge in an hour. It's a 12 pound turkey and needs to sit in the brine for 36 hours. Christmas Dinner is tomorrow. Okay, that's my day.
