I heard from brother

Thinking about it- brother is my last blood brother. The other two have left the building.
Anyway, goof ball brother left a message on hubby's phone for me cause he can't remember my number. Brother's wife had been cleaning their garage. Ran into a past Yule Tale. I guess brother was paying me a compliment? That particular Tale was one of my farm yarns. Brother wondered why I called the main male character James when my real life brother's name was something else? And where was Mom and why was Dad doing this and that and the other thing??
I guess brother never heard of fiction. Or somebody spinning a yarn from a feeling. Anyway, if I ever hear from him again, we might have an interesting conversation. I guess I write well enough to confuse and engage the reader. Ha and oh boy.

Do you know if your brother is having memory problems? I'm sure somebody told him at some point that you're not talking about family members in those tales.
We're at 0F now and the snow is really coming down... I looked and the first step on the porch is completely gone and the second step looks like there is only a couple of inches still above the top of the snow. The yard looks completely smooth and I can only see about half of the tires on the side facing the house. (Maybe a foot or a little more snow out there?) The forecast says we may get 7 more inches tonight. I'm glad I don't have to shovel the driveway!
If you want, you could come over and we could see if we could build a snowman.

@DaddyEvil This brother and the one nearest to me in age made an igloo when we lived in Mpls. I remember being totally impressed. My daughter made a snow Zeus one year. Fun times. And yes, I dread memory issues. One of my sisters is in lock up due to memory issues and my Mom had dementia. Another sister thought I was writing a true story one Christmas. Some time you send me your address and I will zip off a Tale. See what you think.....

@sallypup I'm sorry memory issues run in your family, too. So far, it seems like only my two sisters have had real memory issues here...
That sounds good. I'll send you a pm with my address. Thank you for the offer.

@LooeyVille I did call him back and per usual he had his answering machine on. He prefers to text and I don't. He has always been a 'character.'

do you think he was being silly or did he really wonder why you made up all that stuff and used the wrong name etc?
