Toilet Rolls - do you use them?

January 25, 2026 3:47pm CST
Well We thought we were going to get a day's snow next week so we panic bought 45 toilet rolls. I got a bargain I got 5 packs, of 9 rolls per pack, for £2 per pack. They got delivered earlier 45 rolls of 3 ply toilet paper Sadly the place we keep toilet rolls already has many toilet rolls in it These will have to stay in the box just now Toilet roll Do you use it.?

We get the same thing ourselves & not to just prepare but to keep enough on hand where we don't have to buy it so often, it saves us gas & time & $.

@Ineeddentures We get ours from Sam's club, we live too far for any deliveries so we go get what we need.

@2ndchances24 We are only 7 moles from a few big shops and only a couple of hundred yard away from a Lidl But it's cold, wet, dull, windy so we just order for delivery

I also buy by pack of 24 toilet rolls as well as the other necessities. This way we can save our time and effort in going to and from the grocery.

@Ineeddentures I understand what you meant by 3-ply, but I've only ever seen 2-ply here.

3 ply is 3 sheets one on top of another Three times as thick and absorbent compared to single ply.

@xstitcher That's strange, We tend to see more 3ply than 2 ply here.

Yes. The question is - how many sheets per roll? I have seen that vary from 160 to 340 so you might think you are getting a bargain and then find that the cost per sheet is more than the regular rolls!

Ah well You are talking to the bloke who got a bit of paper, a pen and used a calculator to work out the cost per sheet , 2ply or 3ply in Home Bargains , Sheet size is important too Sheets per roll is not important other than to help work out pps ( price per sheet) Price per sheet is.where its at And these came out as best value - so when I saw them on Megaretailer it was a no brainer Yvonne is annoyed though. She says I can't keep stacking stuff up just because it is a bargain

To save on shipping I usually get two packs of toilet paper. It could be 24-roll packs or different amount. Depends what’s cheaper. Now that hubby doesn’t live here anymore a roll lasts me way longer than it used to when he was here.

@lovebuglena Must be a really short roll lol Do you use 3ply or 4 ply?
27 Jan
I can imagine that a roll would last you a lot longer now right enough That will save you some money.
