The Marine Unit of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) answered an emergency call on Monday January 25 when a 18 year old male who was riding on his jet ski hit a rock in the water that caused him to not be able to move his leg was rescued by the deputies of the HCSO. The deputies used a vessel to pick up the teenager from the water, get him first aid and get him some more medical help. I am sure that an eyewitness called 911 to ask for help when the teenager fell into the water which saved his life. Link is cbs12.com/news/local/bod...

I know what you mean since being in trouble in the ocean without help could have been a disaster.

Very dangerous hitting a rock in the ocean or anywhere on a jet ski. He was lucky to be rescued.

That is what I was thinking since getting a foot injury in the water is scary.

He was probably going too fast and couldn't avoid the rock.

If his leg was trapped, then he was in a bad situation.

I wonder if he was wearing a life jacket at the time, as it appears, he has one on in the photo, and with an injured leg, he could not tread water so well, so the life jacket must have also helped to save him, plus the quickness of his rescue.
