I have had it with this dishwasher

It wasn't draining the other day so I made a point of thoroughly rinsing all of the filters with hot water and ordering Cascade dishwasher cleaning pods. The filters are clean but the cleaning pods have not yet been delivered. Today I couldn't find the cats' extra water bowl today so I looked in the dishwasher. Ugh. There was at least an inch of water in the bottom, it stunk, and none of the dishes were clean. This is just a month or 2 after not having it working for 2 months straight. I'm running it again to see if there is any improvement. The boss of the management woman here gave me crap last time saying that I was responsible for it being broken and threatened to charge me to have it fixed. If this crap continues then they are just going to have to suck it up and replace it despite that it is only 2 or 3 years old. Not my problem. If you want to buy cheap garbage appliances then expect that you will have problems.

I'm sure some products are made to self-destruct.

Try removing the water that is in there and use vinegar and baking soda in the drain..should clear it right up. I have had that issue before.

I hope they just pony up the money for a good one. The last time my dishwasher quit my cheap a$$ apartment complex finally got a GE; a brand I actually know. It used to be a Roper all the time. Who even knows where a Roper comes from? It is pretty nervy of them to blame it on you. I’m kind of surprised they did that with a good tenant.

I'm not fond of dishwashers, I'm never sure I trust them to do the job properly even when they are working well!

That's really ballsy to accuse you of breaking it. I would report them to someone....lol

Wouldn't have a dishwasher anyway. Sink, basin, washing up liquid, draining rack, I do a lot of washing up I am probably more efficient than a dishwasher

Yikes! Dishwashers are supposed to make life easier, not stink up the kitchen and give you grief!

Honestly, they do not make appliances to last anymore. They throw them together with cheap parts and plastic and think it will work, and it's pretty sad. I do run an empty load once a month with a strong white vinager wash. It helps the inside, the filters...and I have been doing that for a long time now. You might try it. Use one to one and a half cup of plain old white vinager, and a hot wash. When it gets done and cools off, I run it one more time on just a rinse. Yes, it will smell a bit vinager-y for a few days, but it does help.
