Finally, January took the hint!

January really felt like it would never end this year. Between the cold mornings, the busy days, and just the general “ugh” of the month, it sometimes felt like I was living the same day on repeat. Even little things like trying to get errands done or just enjoying a quiet moment seemed to take forever.
But finally, it’s over! I can’t tell you how good it feels to turn the page to February. Hopefully, this new month brings better days, more energy, and fewer “ugh” mornings.
Did anyone else feel like January lasted way too long, or was it just me? Any big plans next month?
Photo cracked me up.

@sol_cee - We live in Italy now, we moved here 10 months ago. We sold our big house in Switzerland and moved to an apartment. My husband health is not good, he has serious problems with short term memory, so we came back to our country. We live only 5 Km from Switzerland.

I'm not looking forward to February. We can still get significant snowfall in February and the temps can seem just as cold as January.
I'm more than ready for Spring to start here.

@sol_cee Some years we get almost no winter storms at all and then the dang bugs don't die off and everybody is miserable during the summer. *shrug*

@DaddyEvil Oh no, so it’s either snow or bugs—never easy! Which do you deal with better?

I'm glad it's almost over for you.
This month was on speed dial. I started out the month sick with COVID, worked on five books to edit and revise, four for publishing. My head was in a spin most of the time. I think February will be much the same.

@sol_cee I'm publishing them in the order I wrote them. That makes it easy until it isn't. I have one book that should have been published by now, but it's the first in a four book series and I don't have the second or third books written yet. I'll publish it when I have the third one finished. The good news, I have both the second and third started.

I agree. In January where I live it was a real downer. Cold freezing weather mixed with ice and snow. Our January will finish with another storm with sleet and snow.
One way of coping is looking ahead with positive thoughts. I like your approach. I will do the same.

With weather seems someone can usually find something to complain about.

I am retired so I enjoyed every day that comes along. January was good to me.

Do you get any days that actually feel nice, or is it just snow nonstop?
